This replica sign is 30 inches in diameter and was handmade by White Buffalo Sign Co. here in the USA. The image was captured by a high resolution large format scanner with care given to keep all the detail of the aged original sign. Then the printed image was applied to 24 gauge galvanized metal with a protective laminate added to make a nice scratch resistant, original looking sign.
The US Rubber Company (Uniroyal) is a manufacturer of tires and other synthetic rubber-related products, as well a variety of items for the military. The company was founded in Naugatuck, Connecticut in 1892. In 1990, Uniroyal was acquired by French tire maker Michelin and ceased to exist as a separate business.
